I HAVEN JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST RS TURBO SERIES 2 ITS RUNNING A COSSIE ACTUATOR(WELL ITS BLUE AND A LOT BIGGER THAN THE STANDARD FORD ITEM) THE CAR DOES NOT SMOKE OR RATTLE
I DONT THINK ITS CHIPPED THE BOOST GAUGE SAYS THAT ITS RUNNING
1 BAR OF BOOST IS THIS SAFE FOR THE ENGINE OR IS IT WORTH TURNING IT DOWN IT DOSENT OVERBOOST AT ALL IT PULLS REALLY NICE

if its runing a bar then its chipped abar is more than safe!

 

the car will be chipped m8 the standard ecu can only run arround 10Psi of boost before it cuts the ignition.
The actuator you have is a big collins one.. IMO they are crap compared with a propper -31 but lots of people still use them,
! bar of boost is likely to be perfectly ok on your car HOWEVER the ke-jetronic fueling system willnot fuel correctlky for anything other than standard boost without modification.
becuae the car runs a bit rich from the factory then it is likely that 14Psi will be fine... BUT for piece of mind i would get the cars on boost fueling checked and/or the ke system modified accordingly
