Helping a mate do the bottom arms on his mk2 mondeo. Got everything bolted back together. Car stll on stands. When we put it in gear the driver wheel is spinning. Have I pulled the shaft out of the gearbox?

 

try and hold the spining wheel it sounds like the diff is just putting power thought that. hold it and the other should spin

 

I don't think I made it easy to understand. I ment when in gear with the engine off the driver wheel would spin but passager side wouldn't. I thought both wouldn't. I've took it for a drive before and all is well. Thanks

 

open diff so power is sent to the wheel thats easiest to spin (has less grip). on axel stands if one brake slightly binds more than the other then the side with less binding will spin.
