Right fellas, iv an idea for my mk3 for the winter, basically as per the title i want to XE it, but........ I want to keep it FWD, iv tralled the net and cant find any that have done before FWD, has anyone any input atall?? Be greatly appreciated cheers Dan

 

It will fit, not without issues ofcourse.

Will obviously need some custom shafts making as I'd imagine it would be easier to fit a F20 box rather than try and fit the Ford box to the Vauxhall lump.

Different for sure but no doubt its been done before. Personally I'd just fit a 2l Zetec, not quite as powerful but no where near as difficult to fit.

 

Thats the thing iv been down the whole zetec route before, and like you said itl be diffrent and i like to be diffrent, i was thinking custom shafts would have to be made, and run it on carbs to keep the electrical side fairly simple??

 

The vauxhall injection system is very simple. the ecu loom only needs 3 wires to run along with 2 fuel lines.

Simples !

Shafts can be got from Elite, reco prop or Bailey Morris.
