Depends.... do you ever see yourself wanting more than 380bhp?

what one do msd do now then?! i bought my 044 off them years ago cos mine was fooked!!

Tbh is your standard one ok or not?! If its pumping fine no point spending money on a new one for stage 3, but obviously if you need to change it anyway get an 044 or whatever!!

lf your standard pump is working ok no need to change it but i would advise a new fuel filter.

The std 941 pump is fine up to around 400bhp all day long, the group a 044 pump doesn't actually flow that much more in terms of l/min but does have a much higher lockout rating.
Have you rewired the fuel pump circuit, if not it needs doing now, why £1K for stage 3 ?
You can get a good ecu with complete mapping on three maps for around that, that also does the usual over hyped coil pack and closed loop, personally wouldn't waste my money with the std ecu and being bound to using only official add ons, which are imo a piss take price wise.
At stage 3 you don't need coil pack, a decent coil will do the job fine, closed loop isn't needed IF mapped correctly.

Would say at a guess he means parts wise tabs, by the time you buy injectors and chip/ map sensor, intercooler if going 500 spec, turbo at a guess?! Etc etc probably comes up at about 1k unless buying second hand stuff!!

As said mate, if yours is fucked and needs replacing might as well go 044 as I don't thing it's a great deal more new but if yours works fine leave it!!

As these guys have said, your standard pump is fine for 380bhp so leave well enough alone if your sure its ok.

Thanks guys , i have already fitted a group a coil but stopped short of getting coil pack conversion , the fuel pump has been re wired already with separate fuse, and the £1000 pound price is due to buying all the gear as stated above , new -31 actuator , new 3 bar map sensor , new 803 greens , one closed loop chip , and the cost of the rolling road time plus labour to fit ,
I have been told the 4x4 intercooler is good for 350 -400 bhp so i am leaving that for a bit i will get an rs 500 style one soon

thanks for the comments

Have you bought the bits yet ?

If not i would get 55lb siemens injectors and a chip to suit, closed loop not needed to be honest.

If your going new injectors I've gotta agree most people are going for seimens now mate, I've even bought a set to replace my greys as they have a better spray pattern. Also not sure If the 4x4 cooler is good for that much power be worth checking on that, most people I've seen with 350+ have gone for a 500 spec cooler. Also has the head gasket been uprated to a group a or mls one?!

Also what turbo you got on there?!

Oddly enough a few weeks back watching injectors flowing I didn't notice anything significantly different with siemens, still seen no improvements after people have swapped either, but each engine is different.
I would buy either different bosch or siemens, as greys no longer made, so if 1 buggered up you'd be stuck.
A car I recently checked the injectors on flowed evenly at around 42cc on a timed cycle, with VERY good spray pattern, the car in question was a 1.4 astra(gf's), it had a mystery misfire when cold, did all the usual no help, despite a very good pattern cleaned the injectors(thanks johno) and re installed could detect I thought a more even idle, thought could be imagination, but confirmed by all who've driven the car and the cold running has been helped no end, no longer has the sluggish cold performance, and no misfire in sight, like I say these looked very good to start with, checking after sonic cleaning showed a slight improvement, but was large benefit on car.
Flow after cleaning was around 38cc on same time cycle, but car goes noticeably better, they had obviously never been cleaned before, took nearly 45 minutes to coax them out, talk about stuck, maybe time to get injectors cleaned prior to new chips etc ?
