Ive been searching for old topics on this site even going back to 2006 but to no real joy !

Im going 2.0 zetec for my FRST and ive seen a full ST170 engine inc box on ebay

What are the complications of the VVT timing on the ST head that would worry me .
is it easy to convert to non VVT ?

If I get the ST170 engine ill just pull it apart , all i need is the block and head , then im goin gto put some CP pistons in and arrow rods and go from there really

The ST head is supposed to be alot better than the black top and so much better than the silver.


Has anyone got a ST170 head on there zetec turbo ? if so what box are u running ?

any help would be appreciated

I spoke to luca with the "TROLLEY" and he said that he would go for the ST engine over the other zetecs

U can get a non vvt piper cam or some Ecus will support vvt. So there are options. Sas built a s2 running one a few years back. And lucas is awsome
