Default fiesta mk2 1.1 home made stroker kit ???

i was lookin in the haynes manual and i have come to the conclusion all the crossflows run the same bores and piston its just the crank stroke that make a bigger cubustion chamber AM I RIGHT ???

IF SO
i wanted to fit twin 40s but have notice when doin my tappets the inlet and exhasut valves are in a different order on the 1300 and 1600 to the 950 and 1100

basically i am thinking of fitting a 1300 or 1600 head with twin 40s
is this possible ???
can i fit a 1600 crank pistons and conrods to the 1100 block
basically will all 1600 parts bolt in and run on the 1100 crank case
cheers lads pics soon DAVE

I think you're getting a bit confused with the x flow and the valencia, which is a crossflow engine but not THE crossflow.
The crossflow as used in RWD is different to the "crossflow"(real name valencia) dimensionally, (most)parts do not interchange between the two, certainly heads and cams etc.
The reason why the valves are in a different order is because the firing order and cam are different between the two, the x flow is 1342 but the valencia is a 1243, the valencia is effectively a sqaushed up shortened x flow, made for FWD.
I've no doubt you could swap bits about like crank but there will also be a different block height most likely, so would need the bigger cc block to go with it otherwise with longer stroke pistons will be sitting on top of the block instead of flush with it.

So long as you stick to the correct x flow or valencia type the head from the 1600 will fit, and likely have the biggest valves, if valencia use the stuff for a MK1 xr2 cam, head, personally I'd go for a single 45 rather than twin 40's, try and get hold of a Dellorto DHLA 45, these are much better than the DCOE weber and stay in tune far longer, they look very similar as designed by the same person, who now lives in Hingham, Norfolk.
A major problem with both x flow and valencia is rocker wear, if you have the money go for roller rockers, but as a bodge that works the rocker shaft can be taken out, turned upside down then spun 180 degrees so that it puts the unworn surface down most as this is where the wear takes place mostly, a ported head works really really well on these engines, just watch compression as some are combustion chamber in head, some are in piston.
