hi dose any one know of any probs changing a tddi engine for a 2.2 st tdci i have a 01 tddi with a tied motor and a friend has a panel/chassis damaged car 06 st tdic, im thinking of transplanting it to mine.
so i have all elecs engine ect to do the job cheers

so long as yu have a complete donor car you should be able to make it work. you will have to swap EVERYTHING over though. whole fuel system including pump. wiring loom. dont know about mounts, that might be hard!

dont know about running the dash.

is yours a mk3 being 01? if so it should all swap straight over i would have thought

great, thanks, have whole car as the shell to bad to sort just need to find out about dash wiring if need to change if any one knows be great for info

you should be able to swap it all over including ecu (might have to include locks and keys though for the imobiliser and alarm system), mounts, wiring loom, etc and might just be easiest to swap clocks over.

i wouldnt have thought it to be a quick job as your bound to hit problems but i'm sure the main bulk of the conversion will be straight forward and at least having the donor vehicle if you find say the sub frames are different at least you can swap them.
