Hi guys, tried phoning company today with no reply so had enough! Just wondering if anyone knows how the screw should look inside the solid lifter as in 3 pieces? or should it be one? I took it out this morning to find its in 3 bits but looks like its meant to be? If it meant to be one bit does anyone know where I can get one a ive tried the internet and ford to find out but no such luck. found a set of rs600i ones on ebay (which these are meant to be out of) but are different.
Normally 3 bits, but when correct all should be joined/bolted tight together and not seperate.
There is the "tube" part of the tappet then the pad that the cam bears against, then underneath the pad is a locknut, ie the tube part is threaded and the pad wound in or out as needed, then the locknut locks off the adjustment, assuming it's that sort, some are simply tube part and shim, much better imo.

hi tabetha yeah its that kind, it just doesnt seem to lock nto place it keeps winding itself down so clearance gap becomes bigger, I have the lifter then a further 3 bits as the bolt and locknut? Should this only be 2 if I am understanding your post correctly? Starting to wonder if locknut has maybe snapped into 2 pieces

does the bottom hex part of the lifter turn in the tube section of the lifter?
Take a pic of yours would be much easier for everyone to see what the issue is and if you have the correct parts.

Could be a stripped thread, not the end of the world, easy repair, and not expensive either, but garage that did the job should be doing this.
At the end of the day fill and weld then recut thread will sort if it's that.
