Hi everyone I have a 2001 TDDI 2 litre Diesel estate. Engine cutting out due to malfunction of fuel pump under car at drivers side. Fault located by breakdown service after careful checking from Filter back to tank. Electrics to pump checked as OK but pump only worked intermittantly after careful persuasion (with Hammer ) I intend getting pump changed tomorrow, but wanted to know if there might be any problem with coding from new pump to immobiliser if not done by Ford. Breakdown service declined to do work and advised that this was a "dealer only" job after confirming car had a trip computer. I also wanted to know if there is a filter in the area of this pump and if flushing out the pump and filter(if present) might work
Any other advice would be welcomed.
