Default gearbox starter motor help me please

Hi everyone I'm just swapping my zetec 1.8 si engine for the 1.8 130bhp model I was told this would be a straight swap block for block but I'm just putting my hearbox of old to new block and on my old engine the starter motor is at the rear and the casing is slightly different looks like the new one goes on the front so I'm wondering how is it a straight swap can any one help me please

I'm not very clued on on them at all tbh, I know years ago ford had a habit of putting the starters on the opposite side on auto bellhousings, but don't suppose that helps.
