Default Standard ECU?

I have a mk1 (pre facelift) focus, 1.8. I have recently been trying to squeeze as much power out of it as I can. I started with a solid cold air feed and enclosed cone air filter. Then moved on to a sports cat-back and a decat manifold. But what can I do about my ECU with regards to reprogramming? Is the standard ECU able to be reprogrammed to adjust timing and fuelling for the extra air and exhaust flow? Or will it need a new ECU? Also if it can be reprogrammed on the standard, does anybody recommend anywhere local to Essex that can do a good job? Cheers.

Assuming you don't have a big wedge to spend, I'd phone MSD/stu and ask him if any of his chip retailers are around your area, bound to be one not far.

Cheers, so would something like that act as a sort of piggyback ecu? As opposed to replacing the entire thing?
