Can i use an alternator the opisite way round from which it is normally used?

It will rotate in the oppisite way.

I guess it woudn`t have as good cooling, due to the different direction of rotation, but i recon it will work.

Thoughts please?

I`m also interested in a two bolt starter for an mt75 gearbox, if anyone knows where to get one?
