the T34 doesn't need a dump valve to be fitted

Although it doesn't have to have one fitted, it makes a hell of a difference if it has one, I disconnect mine occasionally for the chatter that me lad likes, so much slower in the gears.
I use a Colins group a one, a diaphragm one, as these seem to be louder, so I drilled mine out to be as loud as possible as well!!

Thanks for the replies Gents...........

The reason I was asking is I thought it kept the Turbo spinning at higher revs by relieving the back pressure to the turbo when you're off the throttle between gear changes.

I also thought this could prolong the life of the turbo "a little" with a little whooosh as a bonus

It does release built pressure and so aid in re-spool so reducing lag, this is why I run with one.

I didn't want to chance 2.6 bar on a 200,000K old engine, but once new one is run in after 1000 miles boost back up around 36/38 happy days!!
