Default Zetec turbo

hi has anyone on here built a sucsessful zetec turbo lump? and would want to share some infomation with me such as were to obtain bits etc, spec for around 250 bhp, as i have decided purchase 3 dr shell with 2.0 silver top zetec in it. Heard loads of storys but wanna talk to someone with a good welth of knowledge on it. many thanks.

you need low compression, decent conrod bolts, exhaust manifold that will take the turbo, better valve springs, good inlet that will flow well and take high capacity injectors(ie Rover T series inlet/820turbo inlet), management that can 'see' the boost, block drilled for relocated breather and an oil return for the turbo, intercooler and plumbing, k+n filter or similar alternative, focus rs 'cold' plugs

hope this helps as a rough guide for a budget build

plenty of good zt,s, iv got one 270 bhp, verry mild spec. std ccrank,rods and cams. accrilite pistons 8;1 comp, slightly ported head, 20 pis boost. megasquirt ecu.
0-60 in 4.6 sec
1/4 mile in 13.7 secs, in a rs turbo

do me a favour, check to see if you still have your oil jets connected? Take the sump off and im sure you will have them rattleing around in there. Common problem with accrashites!

na mate they are still on im shure. i remember grinding grooves in skirts to clear them. like the small turbo escos pistons.
