2003 03 Mondeo Zetec Auto playing up!
Hi all I have a 03 plate mondeo 2.0 Zetec Automatic
I have had it for 2 years and never missed a beat.
Lately it seems to be running a bit rough and the fuel ecconomy has suffered as well as the auto box behaving strangly.
I was told it could be the air flow sensor, but i can find it can anyone help me?
Thanks

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Could be a lot of sensors. Usually when the fuel economy gets worse the Oxygen sensor(s) are the first suspect.
Get the codes read. If codes present repair them.
If no codes then check all values from the various sensors - Coolant and intake temp, airmass, Oxygen sensor(s).
No air leaks anywhere? Like vacuum hose(s) or exhaust (manifold)?

Does the auto box "jump out of gear" when cruising ?
Mine is trying to change down a gear when cruising and coming to a hill etc, but seems the box "misses" and just judders, can do this a couple of times before it shifts.
Also judders when in Drive, with brake applied - intersections etc

The does not jump out of gear, in fact it changes quite well.
Im sure its an engine problem and one thing i forgot to mention is that it will only rev to 4000-4500 revs I m just wondering if its an air problem

20K+ Super Poster.
The rpm limit sounds like it may have gone into LOS(safe) mode, which means it will have a major fault logged, see read codes first to see if any help, are the cooling fans on all the time even when cold ?
