Hi all,

I am installing an alram into my Escort GTI (1998). The alram has a remote start feature which I want to use. For this to work the alarm needs a feed back signal from the coil to say that the engine in running. Does any one know where the best location I can use to pick up a suitable signal. (in the hand book for the alarm it has the wire wrapped around the lead from the coil to the distributor). I did think that I could wire it arround either one of the ignition leads or all 4 but have not had this working.

i've fitted a remote start alarm before and tapped into the wire from the coil to the rev counter inside the car
