took the project car to get the tracking done and noticed the nearside wheel is pushed further back in the arch then offside. Looks like its been curbed badbly and control arm has been replaced. Would damage to the anti roll bar cause this?

The tca's on these bend like jelly, would be worth checking both sides, a bent arb will also cause this.

Easiest way to check arb if off the car is draw around it with a marker pen on the pavement etc, then swap it around end to end, this will soon show if it's bent, if only very slightly bent pack whichever side is needed with a few washers on the arb before putting the large washer either side of the bushes to even wheel position up, it's free and it works safely.

mine was exactly like this on same side, quick check underneath showed that mine was indeed slightly bent, and the nearside roll bar bush mount was cracked too. New ARB and brackets sorted it straight away...
