Default air con problem can you help

hi can you help me , when i put my blower on my air con klicks on as well even though it is switched off, i can ear the rad fan come on as well could this be a switch or sensor iv had to pull out the relay from keeping the air con from kicking in cheers

Is this a Focus by any chance and is it in at all blower speeds? If only when the blower is in position 3 the A/C will be on regardless, the same applies if the heat direction control is on windscreen but regardless of blower position.

hi martin ,yes it is a focus 2001 ,if i was to turn the blower on to no1 postion with in 2 seconds you would ear the air con pump kick ,and also the fan to the rad come on weather the heater control is in the hot or cold postion ,you dont even have to touch the air con switch cheers karl

Try turning it down a bit as full heat also does something with A/C.
