st170 inlet dont fit in escort! with pics
some thought it would and some thought it wouldnt.
well here's the proof.
firstly i tried in my mk4 escort a while back and there was nowhere near enough room.
so today i tried it in my mk6 escort.
firstly romoved the old inlet;
then removed the anti vibration thing on the engine mount.
it wieghs 1.6kg!!
then offered it up
hits the brake bar
also hits the servo, bugger
so now opting for throttle bodies which do fit!

You've just saved me loadsa time as was about to try the exact same thing nxt weekend!
Many Thanks m8
Did wonder about the servo getting in the way, didnt even think about the brake bar!
The anti vibration thing is a bit crap, Got a new Mk5 one to go on which didnt have the anti vibration bit.
Shame the inlet dont fit though! The throttle postion switch differs too.
You going with aftermarket management then?
Many Thanks m8
