im doing a 2.1 zvh conversion on a mk3 escort using a silver top bottom end, which oil pump should i use as ive heard the mondeo 2.0 hits something and im not sure whats already on it but it stops me from fitting the engine mount

please help as getting frustrated now

 

1.6 or 1.8 Zetec Escort or Fiesta oil pump. The 2.0 pump can cause clearence issues with the oil filter fouling the chassis.

 

any idea what the one i have is m8

 

The 1.6/1.8 pump has it's oil filter at an angle whereas the 2.0 points directly forward.

 

so if thats the correct pump that i have any idea why the engine mount wont fit even with the extra lug already cut off
