the metal casing on the pass side behind dash ( i presume you mean of the ecu) should should have a sticker on the bottom saying ofab or ofac, this is used to denote which ecu you have for parts, chips, etc. if the sticker has gone from there, you can remove the ecu & find another at the top where the loom plugs in. or if you know what a 4x4 saph coss map sensor looks like (triangular), & yours is the same, you have ofab, (best one)
oh i forgot to ask when was the change anyway was G to H or H to J?? as mines a J i was wondering if you could tell from the age rather than what it looks like??
Many thanks chRiS

personally, ive had 3 frst's, a g reg (was really an xr2i with the turbo gear in) an h & j reg all had ofab. www.fiestaturbo.com then go to tuning where theres a post by samantha (me) & click on my profile, then click to view my gallery (it's the last pic), this should show you a pic of the ofab/cossie map sensor, mounted on the black panel on the bualk head), if yours is nowt like, it's ofac
i cant seem to make a direct link
