ive got a cobra alarm system with the keyfob bleeper bollox an an imobiliser on the rx7 it takes abit of getting used to but it is very good.
not quite the one ive got but u get the idea- http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...leproduct.html
on the cossy ive de locked it so i cant pick the lock. put a mul-T gear lock on that locks it in gear first gear, this is very good, but is quite ugly

its also got a steelmate car alarm, this is very loud and has a brilliant range, u can also remotly start the engine from it, only draw back is sometimes u have to press is twice and the remote start and 1st gear lock arent a good combination. lol

firstly don't keep car on registered address, i don't for good reasons.
secondly take everything that isn't botled down out when not in it and i mean steering wheel too.
i've also got a meta system alarm immobiliser.
seperate fuse box for things like ecu etc. so can pop fuses out for things whilst still retaining security devices.
locking handbrake mechanism and did think of the gearlocking setup as mentioned before.
also have a private carpark at home with no access to anyone but me and the misses.

i had a cobra alarm / immoboliser in mine, but warren on here does good security, he will set you up a perimiter with claymoors, detinators and shaped charges then guard your car with a pack of rotwilers and he will be on a nearby roof with a sniper rifle keeping watch

20K+ Super Poster.
Insurer will normally ask if car is kept at registered address, so just be aware that a lie will result in a no pay out, and could land you in court for fraud, it's taken seriously these days.
Some ideas are just not workable for the normally used car, take ecu out, take steering wheel off etc, suppose you carry these round tesco's ?, just take sensible precautions, considering how bad a thief is going to work to get your car, ie a pro thief is unlikely to hold you up at gunpoint and demand the keys etc for a £150 escort, also bear in mind if they want it enough and things like steering wheel removed etc, it makes them more likely to come into contact with the driver to get the car, the last thing you want with kids and wife etc in car, if someone held me up with a knife gun etc I would give them the car no questions asked, other than did they have insrance for it ha ha, I would even fill it up for them first, safe in the knowledge that the 2 1/2 minutes counting on the timer would give me enough time to get away/out of sight and safe when the main live battery to ignition feed links to earth and stops all the power, easy enough to do with a £5 timer and 70 amp relay.
