focus rs flywheel position?????? cambelt change????
at the mo im doin an engine swap but the engine i bought had no flywheel on it. surely the flywheel need to go on a certain way for tdc sensor? theres no marks on block, with 6 possiable ways for flywheel to bolt on.
thats prob1 the other is cambelt gota be changed as its been sitting around and theres no marks on that either!!! and there seems to be know way of locking the cams
any help will be very much appriciated. kind regards alex.

flywheel...i thought fly wheel bolts were not in an even pattern and therefore could only be fitted one way. never done it before mind but thats what i thought.
cam belt....if its the same as the rest of the zetecs and i assume it is then at tdc the slot in the back of both cams will line up level with the top of the head and you can slide a 5mm bar in to lock them in place (assuming standard cams and standard timing). you can get the 5mm bar and crank pin from your local motor factors, its called a zetec timing kit. the crank pin goes in the side of the block near the flywheel but you will have to remove a little bolt first.
hope that helps
oh and make sure you get a cam belt kit with pulleys and tensioners and while your at it do the water pump and aux belt too.
