leaking gearbox!

leaking gearbox!
hi there its not my rs its my winter runabout its a fiesta 1.4 ghia its leaking fluid from where the drive shaft slots in on the drivers side!if it's a seal can its be changed without taking gear box off ?please help

yes, there is a diff seal & it can be changed in place 
but the seals usually go when the diff bearing has excess play(box removal required to replace bearings), but i would fit the seal & see how it goes, good luck!
