Default what is the difference here?

what is the difference Between a sapph xr4i and a sapph cossie in terms of the running gear

obv the engine and loom and fuelling system are different

but is the suspension, hubs, diffs, prop shaft, brakes etc more or less the same?

mates got a nearly new sapph cossie bare shell and is going to make it a cossie, and have the opportunity to get hold of a 4i sapp to transgfer majority of teh runnign gear over?and then get hold of the cossie engine last and the bits that cant be taken from the 4i?

thanks in advance guys

thanks in advance

Cossie hubs are different to std 2wd hubs, which is what xr4i uses, suspension rates all different, cossie prop different, and importantly has CJ13 flange at diff, styd one would break with cossie power, xr4i uses 260mm discs single piston sliding caliper 2wd cossie uses 283mm 4 pot calipers with rear discs(273 solid).
All the 4i stuff could be used as upgrades went along though allowing you time to find the needed bits.
Cossie has lsd, 4i doesn't, defo needed as well, as is rear discs.

Do you mean a 2.0 4wd saph?

If so as far as im aware there isnt any difference in the running gear (other than maybe the rear diff not being an LSD) from that to a cossie, but its not something I know a lot about so im sure someone can give a more definitive answer.

No such thing as Saph 4I, 2.0 4X4 does has rear LSD as is the same running gear as used in 4x4 Cosworth!

Rest has been answered above.
