Hi,
I have a Clifford Concept 600 alarm fitted to my Sierra Sapphire Cosworth which seems to be playing up at the moment. When I try to start the car the engine will crank a few times then all the dash lights go out and the alarm light begins to flash. When I press the arm/disarm button on the alarm remote the dash lights come back on and I can start the car.
It doesn't do this all the time, maybe once every 10 starts but I'm worried it is going to get worse, anyone got any ideas what could be causing this?
The alarm has intellistart fitted if that makes any difference.

 

Sounds as though the immoby is cutting in, I would if your competent/confident see the ignition live refference for position 2 is being received by the alarm.
If not confident I would leave alone and seek a clifford dealer, these can be reliable alarms, most probs are due to bad fitting, but the opportunity is there for problems simply as there is more to go wrong than say a simpler affair such as a toad.
