engine not fireing

Replaced engine as last one blew up so to speak. replaced HT leads and sparkplugs HT lead order 1243. all electrics fine. engine is an 1118/1.1 Fiesta mk3 K reg 1992 model with a carb HCS mechanical engine not fuel injection. Engine turns over but wont fire up can anyone help

are you sure its 1243 i know some engines are but most are 1342 but it should at least fire if this was the fault.

Are u getting a spark ?
Are you getting fuel ?
has it got any sort or imobiliser on it like the chip in the key ?

pull a lead off and see if your getting a spark

yes the order is 1243 checked re checked. The sparks are fireing the fuel is being supplied. the vehicle doesn't have an imobiliser fitted either still stumped
