well your lucky that you got the plugs, if thats the case, wack the earth in, get a relay in (scrap yard or parts department)
then get a switch also and a fuse and you should be off, with the screen that is

when you have the screen fitted it will have have 4 terminals attached , 2 of them will plug into the loom that you have found behind the a pillar covers ,the top 2 are the earths and they bolt to the a pillar behind the a pillar covers

The screen will plug in as you say you have the plugs so you need a relay and switch as said best bet is to go scrappy

In that case you may just need a screen + switch.

Has anyone worked out yet if the relay needs adding? Or is it just a case if heated screen and new dash switch?

I'm looking at buy a mk6 fiesta tonight but it does not have heated screen and coming to winter I want 1

Thanks

When i fitted a heated screen to my focus ST170 with teh switch and relay and fuses it also needed an additional engine run relay and also turned on with the computer IIRC by ford

Depends, you can always wire with a timing relay etc, this is merely a simple circuit and is what the setup was in older Fords.

It shouldn't be anything complicated, far as I am aware the only interaction of modern day setups with the ECU, is that it turns the screen off, after a pre determined period of time, in the same way as the timer relay did.

Does anyone have any info on fitting a heated front screen to a mk7 fiesta?

So far ive fitted the heated screen and conneted the earths to the A pillars.
And sourced a new heater control pannel which has the heated screen switch.
I seem to be missing the + feed wires to the screen .....

These will go via a relay, with the power connecting to the battery, it's CRUCIAL you choose the correct size gauge wiring though, due to the draw of the screen!

When i did it on my Focus ST170 ford also had to activate it in the GEM module.

Also there was an engine run relay needed put in.

All the wiring was there for the screen, i just had to change the buttons inside the car and they added the relay and activated it.
