Default fiesta mk3 engine not starting

replaced engine. fuel pump/HT leads/sparkplugs/ignition coil/electrics ok,all sensors check out fine. Engine turns over, engine tries to start, fuel ignites but still no luck in starting engine. Am thinking of checking compression of pistons but not sure about this action. Any clues or hints pls help

or check the firing order is correct or did you change the #HT leads 1 at a time? or just wip them all off?

Don't forget on this engine the firing order is 1/2/4/3 and not 1/3/4/2 as 99.9% of 4 cylinder engines.
