Default Mk3 fiesta power steering.

I want To put power steering on my fiesta 1.1 what do i need and how much will i be looking at spending?
or if you know a cheaper way to make steering better please let me know

Different tyres can make a huge difference.
If there is any version of the mk 3 festa with PS simply rob all the bits from that, mainly rack pump hoses, reservoir.

ye i was thinking that, the fiesta SI has P.S and other parts i could rob off it, guess ill be going to the scrappy tomorrow.

Do you really need PAS on a 1.1 Fiesta? If you feel it's too heavy there may well be a problem, check tyre pressures and also the steering knuckle where the column meets the rack can sieze and cause heavy steering, when all components are good, the steering is easily light enough.

ye well as i only just started driving and iv got 0 no claims i want to keep the car as long as i can till i can get a RS so i want to make it a comfy ride. my dad did say sumin bout a quick rack?

A quick rack will make your steerin even heveier buddy , if you really want pas then you gonna need
Rack
Pump
Pump bkt
Pipework and clips
auxbelt
Res and pipe work
and about 2liters of pas fluid
and all the bolts and nuts .
And what ever else ive forgotten

If you use a different steering wheel it will be much lighter, one from a double decker bus will give lots more leverage!!
