just got x british gas connect 1800 tDdi 75ps van will not go any faster than 75mph is this van limited if so can i have it removed will this harm engine van is 2005 t220 model

 

Defo sounds like it is limited, taking it off will cause no harm whatsoever, just need to find the little black box first, unless it has been done mechanically like a stop put on the diesel injector pump for example.

Might not have a external limiter , Ford have started fitting limiters that can be electronically set by using the latest electronic diagnostic tool , and as I believe it wil have to be unset using the same as nobody has sorted the software , it apears as a drop down menu in a sub section , you select the required speed and click ok , it just neds reseting to unlimited .

When our vans at work were limited they did the newer Connects via the software method, the older ones they couldn't, so didn't! They just put a sticker on the back saying 'limited to 70' anyway......
