smoking on acceeration
my escort rs turbo is smoking on acceleration , blue smoke.
I replaced the head and stem seals so its not them.
i did a compression test and the results are in bar:
cylinder 1: 9.2
cylinder 2: 10.2
cylinder 3: 10.5
cylinder 4: 10.8
they dont seem to bad.
could the turbo be burning oil on hard acceleration.
also no oil in intercoller pipe
when i back off there is no puff of smoke just when the boot is down .
any ideas?

Like you said they don't seem bad except for #1 which is almost 20% lower than #4.
What does the #1 spark plug look like? Any traces of oil? Could be a damaged ring causing blow-by.
I imagine if it was the turbo it smoke all the time and get heavier under boost.
Wish I could be more helpful

compression test wont really diagnose worn oil control rings because they dont really add to compression as such, you really need to do a cylinder leakage test to comfirm it is the oil rings, when you say you changed the head seal do you mean the head gasket? and if so when the head was off did no. 1 piston look damp or a different colour? and does it foul no. 1 plug when the engine has been on overun for a while? for instance going down a long hill with no throttle!
