having trouble fitting my arp maid studs for my zetec turbo engine, when i bought the engine i found it had a crack in the 2 part sump windage tray i think it's called, i bought a new sump and tray and basically the arp main studs wont fit they are to long and it the tray dosen't fit flush seems to be catchin insde the tray somewhere.

any help please!!!!!!

 

would you use the standard bolts from the engine im hoping for 350bhp,
this arp bolts are pissing me off.

 

Do you mean the bit that stick through the tray and secures it is to long ?, and that the tray is catching somewhere.
If the tray is catching easy to find out where, if it is the correct tray, maybe it's been dented a bit getting kicked around at ford.

Yeah the bit of the bolt that sticks out the bottom it catching on the fins that run across the tray.

 

It's perfectly ok to trim a small amount off at this point, or bend the tray slightly.
