I'm in the process of this and doing a whole van.

You can change the tank to and erst tank but you will have to modify the fuel neck as the neck on the erst is nearer to the back of the tank.

another method would be you could get the van tank cut opened for the swirl pot to placed inside. (dont attempt unless u know how to weld fuel tanks!!!)

or the best option i think out of the lot rather than cutting and playing about with dangerous fuel vapours.

You can get and external swirl pot but obiviously you will need a fuel pump (cosworth presumably or any high pressured one does't have to come of a ford and a purge pump to feed to the engine from the external swirl pot).

Finding this information out took a good while as i could get in touch with the people i needed to get in touch with.

**Make sure you clean out the van tank first better to be safe than sorry, i think you can use normal standard petrol to rinse it with a good couple time and then drain**

If there are any other bits i can answer PM me and i'll do my best.
