I just got a new set of clocks for my s2, but when i tested them i noticed that my rev counter is ticking over at 2k revs and when i give her throttle the rev needle flies away around onto the speedo, way past the original red line, any ideas??
the efi clocks run a coil pack so the signals sent to the rev couter are twice as fast as the ones sent by the mfi coil so that is why your reading is 2k at tick over change the clocks to solve the problem
another quest got same prob wiv mine it goes up the clock alot faster than usual but the idling speed is at 1050 which is correct is this stil the same prob as above????
check wires to the coil.
if all is ok change the speedo you can pick them up cheap enough any way.
why is it idleing at 1050 what car is it if it has an idle valve that is on its way out
its a s2 dot they all idle their??? both of mine idle their, i switched the clocks round from my other turbo which are workin fine and exactly the same happens!!!!!
