I would imagine substantially more than that, I'd be wanting at least 200 unless it is thrashed to death and knackered.

Mate i can get that kind of mileage out my V6 if i go steady, you should be getting a lot more than that. the diesels can suffer injector problems, and the injectors need remapping, dont know if that causes bad mpg, though. what does it run like ?

The egr valve won't cause consumption like this, I would be looking for a leak first, unless you have a dicky reading milometer ?, check the basic stuff ie brakes not binding, tyre pressures.

hi guys the car seems quite sluggish but as i have never drove one before not sure if it just a heavy car, i will check tyre pressures but i am crap when it comes to checking most other things, it drives ok to me but again could just be cos i ain't driven one before. i have also got a meriva which i drove tonight for the first time in a week and it was like a rocket compared to the mondeo. is the injector thing easy to check or is it a garage job? the tyres do need a little air in will try this when i get it back from mot test tmw. thanks for the replies really appreciate it.
