Just bought an Escort cosworth LHD, imported from germany. Wanted to know if anybody knew if i could convert the speedo from KPH to MPH, as i have'nt a clue how fast i'm going. Or alternativly a RHD conversion?

RHD conversion requires changing the bulkhead, i imagine it would work fine if you just changed the clocks to a uk set

Out of interest how much do the escos go for in germany?

The car was imported in 1999. I've just paid £8500 for it with 45000 kilometers on the clock. I'm fairly sure that's not a bad buy.

Will the MPH clocks fit straight on or will the speedo mechanism need calabrating or changing?

I've got a LHD Cossie from Germany as well, and have left the speedo in KPH. I know roughly what the speeds are for speed restrictions, but when booting it around country lanes, I don't look at the speedo, just look at the road.

Cheers
John
