Depends how soon you want a cracked block

Don't use 'em mate. Either long stud (if a 200 block) or standard head bolts.

whats the difference between a long stud and a standard head bolt do you still use a nut w ith the long stud type or is it just a longer/modified bolt

You use a nut with the long studs. Also beware there are some cheap long studs out there...

The threads inside the block taper slightly towards the bottom. When fitting a stud and nut kit, the block thread should be taped out straight, then the stud fitted and torqued. Then when fitting the head, torque the nut down to specification. Doesn't come cheap.

That’s what’s been done on my Escort Cossie.

Cheers
John
