what could be the problem its got oil for sure

The light is on all the time? Some of the time? You have oil pressure??

it came on this morning and still is on i was trembling at the begining but now is constantly on.the oil pressure gauge gives me some figuers but its a cheap one.dont know if i can trust it

Most likely sender faulty failing that will be shorting to earth from dash to sender somewhere most likely where goes through bulkhead this is assuming your oil circulation is ok which I suspect it will be.

i ll change the sender tomorow and see what happens. by the way do you know if the sender is the same as the one used in 2lt sierra

First just disconnect the wire off the sender, light I am sure will extinguish if stays on is getting earth from elsewhere. Pretty sure sender is same as Pinto.

So long as it fits the senders are all a very similar pressure anyway so will be fine, and most 1/8 NPT.
As said though most likely the sender, just be aware they are not unknown for doing this shortly before falling to bits and the plastic part breaks letting all the oil out!!

i just came back from the garage the cable atached to the sender snaped it was easy to find out what had happend ,but that was it cosworth engine bay as always was a no can put hand in.goodnight everybody and thanks again
