Question Blacktop fitting...

I've done my searches, there's so many conflicting arguements and opinions!!

It's an 88' XR3i cab. Was running MFi CVH with no powersteering etc. Blacktop engine will be 1.8 Focus.

Simple questions here:

1. If a Blacktop from a focus has A/C and power steering, and i fit engine into mk4 escort but remover these, do i still need idler to reverse water pump? Or is that only needed if there was no A/C and i only removed power steering pump?

2. Engine mount, do i just move one hole further along and bolt up? Some say something fouls on the body of car... I can cut a notch into body, or change mount slightly? I'll be getting a focus mount with the engine so i have that or my CVH one.

3. Alternator - on zetec it's on the back if im correct? Can't it stay there? I'd like it out of the way of turbo and exhaust. plus it's neater with wiring.

I'll be buying an engine tomorrow if it's decent when i go to view it, complete but without ecu etc as i dont need it.

Awaiting your responses guys, a picture will help if you're explaining something. I dont want people saying go silvertop, as i want the solid lifters etc. I just need things clearing up cause people blurt different things that contradict others.

CheeRS in advance
