engine advice
hey guys
right i've just bought a 2.0 zetec silvertop from mercurygreyrsturbo off here, he delivered it today and is a top bloke cheers for the delivery matey and for the help getting the engine in the garage!
basically i will be building the zetec with all new parts to fit into my escort mk6 si. so an engine stand would be great, but which one?? i've seen a sealey one on ebay for £43 including delivery but only takes on 350kg is that more than enough or do i need a better one?
and the engine probably won't be ready till next year probably around april/may so is there any ways to look after it so that it doesn't seize up etc
i may take the cylinder head off to get refurbed/ or possibly get ported, polished, skimed and cleaned up so that it looks all new and performs like new. so what should i use to keep the bottom end clean if i do take off the head???

i sat mine on a wooden trolley with castor wheels i made up from spare wood i had lying about. it sat in my shed for a while with me occasionally turning the crank pulley with a socket wrench to stop it seizing. oily rags to cover any at risk metal surfaces and gaffa tape over any open pipework to stop any shite falling in.

thanks guys right i'll be ordering that engine stand very soon as i will be changing the sump and pick up pipe to suit my escort. so a full 360 engine stand should make that an easy job!
i don't suppose anyone may know of any cylinder head refurb specialists local to hertfordshire???
