Help with engine management please.
Ive asked this question elsewhere and have mixed answers, and im really still no wiser.
Im new to aftermarket engine management.
I am putting a EFI ZVH into my track ka and dont have a clue how to wire in the management.
I have a complete KA loom and a complete RST loom with OFAB ecu.
How do i connect them both so i can maintain the ka loom for lights, dials, etc but run the RST engine loom?
I will more than likely however, swap to OMEX 600 ECU stand alone, but same again how do i run the dials and lights etc?
Info would be great for both but would prefer to go OMEX.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Omex wont run the dials.
On Mike's transit he simply spliced into the omex loom and sent the signals to the original ecu when he fitted the RS engine, so BOTH ecu's now see the crank sensor signal etc.
If the crank sensor is a different pattern between the two engines you will struggle though!

Leave in original loom and ECU.
You need to get a wiring diagram (start studying a haynes manual!) and then splice into which bits you want the omex to run.
for example, fuel pump - injectors - fan - crank sensor (still needs to be read by the standard ecu!) - lambda sensor(s) - coilpack etc.
Cut the wire on the original loom at the hair brush connector and connect it to the specific omex wire which will be in the manual you get with the kit.
That way the omex controls the bits it needs to (engine) and the standard ecu still runs all the dials etc.

Genius! I actually understand that. Lol.
Just need a mondeo zetec and rs haynes manual now.
Well, if the standard ecu stays in i think ill remove all the alarm, stereo, a/c, wires out while im at it.
My heads a bit clearer now.
Thanks Dan and everyone for the help.
