Do Fiesta RSTs have a limp mode because mine will not rev past 3k rpm? Also There is no pipe coming from the actuator so I'm baffled as to why it isn't over boosting let alone no boost at all. There was quite a bit of preload in the actuator rod when I checked and the turbo bearings are fine? Checked pipework for leaks and there was no damage that I could see. Help me solve this mystery please!

Think they would have a form of LOS, sounds more mechanical problem to me than management problem. Is it misfiring?

Theres no misfire it just hits a wall at arount 3k rpm when driving. When in neutral it will rev right up to redline??? Wierd.

Thats because theres no load, have you checked fuel filter?

i have exactly the same problem with my fiesta turbo. Cant get my head round it. Does urs start popping and misfiring when u hit 3k???

No mine didnt misfire it just wouldn't rev through past 3k. In neutral it's fine. Took inlet manifold off and there was no gasket so this probably didn't help!! I'm taking the engine out next week to skim the pistons so I will go over everything with a fine tooth comb. Probably just a sensor, but very annoying. I will let you know how I get on when it's up and running again.

cheers mate. Ive replaced MAP sensor, inlet manifold gasket on mine but stil the same. Checked my timing 2day and it was miles out. Got that sorted but ran outa fuel before i could realy test it. Gona check it out 2moro. Its spot on at idle.....only happens under load

I havn't checked the timing yet, but I suspect it's miles out. It's a zvh and has no vernier so I'm going to sort that when funds allow. Mine idles really high ie 1.7k and the brakes have no servo assistance so i'm thinking it may be down to vacuum/boost leakage where the inlet gasket was missing. I'm hoping it's all related. It's in my mates workshop atm so I will hopefully get time to work on it next week. Can you let me know how you get on with yours?

yeah my brake pedal seemed quite poor 2day when i was havin a look at it. Got a couple more things 2 check out 2moro. What sorta spec is ur car running atm?

I bought the car a month ago not running properly, got it very cheap. It's a 2.1 zvh. Below is a link to the add on pistonheads. I've got to modify the turbo oil return and oil breather connections on the block as previous owner drilled the holes to small and kept blowing turbos. Loads of potential tho. Running standard rs turbo management, new T3 turbo etc etc Previous RR printout of nearly 220bhp and 270 lb/ft.

yeh mine is runnin a zvh as wel....only a 1.8 tho. BOught mine as a non runner but its finally stating 2 take shape......nice and clean with all the right mods. Been estimated at 220-250bhp. Do u kno if ur ECU is chipped?

It's been set up on the RR previously to adjust fueling for more boost. Don't think it has a plug in chip though, not too sure tbh.
