hey couldnt find this in any threads ...sorry if its been asked before.
i am changing my power steering pump on my 03 ford fiesta 1.25 .
now i got the old pump off easy enough but cant find a way to loosen the aux belt in order to fit new pump! i am very :S and have spent a while under car with huge amounts of cursing. how do i loosen the belt in order to fit new pump ?

it has a spring loaded tensioner,15mm bolt head on it. put a spanner on it and push to release the tension

 

Depending on wether you have air con or not, you might have a stretchy belt, instead of a tensioner. You might be able to get the old belt off by removing the alternator and relieving the tension that way, or you might have to cut the belt off and fit a new one as per the instructions (using the correct tools on the correct pullies and turning the engine over)
