No this isnt a muppet room, its a general chat room.

The muppet room is mainly for adult content (especially thanks to Rad) this room is for all the stuff like "ive just got a new job" etc that people use to post in the old "one size fits all" general disucssion forum.


The other forum was moving SO fast that car related posts were getting drowned in the social stuff.

im with tony c on this one. can see this being filled with drivvel in no time. i much prefered the general room when it was the only one.

No the muppet room topics arent pics normally they are adult as in "i shagged my best mates mum up the arse" or "how many times a day does Rad have a wank" all that sort of crap.

This forum is EXACTLY what the old general forum was, but without the car chat, the car chat is now easier to find as its all in one place without being littered with pointless threads (like this one )

Its a TEST people, if its crap i will reverse it as easily as i started it, its simple. But i ask you this... how many posts have you missed in general discussion alone today?

Its done FIVE pages today alone, thats 250 topics and over 2000 POSTS!!

 

Can you imagine how long this would get discussed for if it was discussed?

The split would be SO monumental between people who cant be bothered to click into two rooms so insist it must stay as one room or it loses its soul, and the other half who are more into the cars than the social bollocks all demanding a split.

Nah, this sort of decision is where its best made by someone like Stu who unlike al of us, genuinely has his pulse on the forum well enough to actually make decision for the best.

Those people doubting it should:
a) list the mistakes Stu has made in the past with this form to justify your doubts
b) give it a week and see how it pans out

im only airing my view as its late and im bored, normally i wouldn't post on anything like this. by drivel i mean the muppet room will flood into here... just look at the topics in here already. on a serious note, i do feel it will change the 'feel' or the board for the worse. but if your trialing it then fair enough.

Think the new room is a good idea I mean before there would be like a topic saying about a gear box cable and underneath about loud neighbours. And like someone said you wont loose topics as quick

ANYTHING EVEN VAGUELY TO DO WITH CARS GOES IN THE CAR SECTION

In the event you get the wrong room, its NOT going to cause a shift if the space time continuim or anything, if its about a car it goes in one room if it isnt it goes in the other, if its kind of vague like "did you see that probram about tyre fitters on bbc3 last night" then just go with your instinct and make a decision its not going to matter which it ends up in.
