Hi, i need my Diesel fuel pump replaced on my w reg focus TDDi. 104.000 miles.

Been told after 2 garages looked at my car, the fuel pump needs replaced, this will cost from £800 at 1 garage and £990 at another , the later is a supposedly m8 ,lol

The pump is a coded pump, Can i buy a second hand pump fit it to my car?

Can I get the code off my faulted pump and try to get a second hand pump with the same code?,( is this ok and possible to do?)

If i do get a second hand pump will it need re-coded at ford?

Is it easy to install a fuel pump/ ? as thinking of fitting myself?????

u good with the spanners fella this is a bitch of a job yes the pump is coded no u cant find another one with the same code unfortunately it can only b coded by ford ok if u got a mate of a mate who works there painful if not the quotes u r getting are about right give or take
