Scort GTi Idle
Hope some one may beable to help.
My escort (1998 1.8 16v GTi FFSH 54k) started to develop a habit of stalling when you had the clutch dipped ie : pull up to lights or junction and it would bounce up and down on the revs then stall.
I thought this may be the idle control valve so i have had it swapped for a brand new genuine ford part. This has made things better but still not right, it still has the bouncing revs but does not stall everytime or when up to running temperature it will sit at 1500 revs.
Also the car is drinking juice faster than a cossie, i have done 100 miles and it used half a tank of juice.
Any ideas would be appreciated
