My car seems tobe killing plugs on the no3 cylinder only on my RST. The plugs is black when I pull it out and it doesn't stink of petrol. Is there any way of telling if my seals are shot rather than it being the rings? Its a new set of pistons and rings but not valve stem oil seals.
Help someone can help

when the seals are gone the exhaust will normally blow out a little blue smoke on start up & after a wait at traffic lights etc. if the original ones are fitted they normally become unseated & ride up the valve stem, you will need to remove the rocker cover to see though. its not an expensive job anyway, as they can be done without head removal
