ok problem is it turns over very slow but the battry is fully charged
when u turning over it backfires once tho and thats it its a L8 ecu
the crank pulley was changed from a sierra one to an escort pulley but when changing the sensor theres was a problem the sensor it was stoping the pulley from going on(if u no what i mean) so moved it back a bit to let the pulley on its about a 1mm from the tooth on the crank pulley. the fizzy cap was off a wile back to we just sat that back on the way it came off but the pulley for that was moved wile it was offand another thing there was no petrol in the tank when the key was turned on for 2mins would this fuck the pump?theres petrol in it now

If it backfires then either the valve timing or ignition timing is out.
So the pulley for the dizzy moved in relation to the crank, and cams, this needs putting right, and will cause all of what you have so far.
Whilst less than desirable for the pump, it should be ok, just check you're getting pressure.

andy, for the spark check for power at the + side of the coil (black wire) with ignition on.if none then there is a problem between there and the ignition switch.
for the injectors, they are supplied with power by the fuel injection relay which in turn powers the fuel pump relay seing as the pump is working then the fuel injection must also be working.
look for the 3 big block connectors at the back of the engine clipped to the bulkhead area. 2 are oval and one is square, split the square one and check for power at the pin with the red wire going into it (this supplies all the injectors which are the earthed through the ecu) this is the same power supply that powere the ecu so with ignition on check for power at pin 20 on the ecu.
it might be worth splitting the 3 block connectors to be sure they are making good contact.
on another note it the crank sensor is not working or set up correctly you will not get any spark either
see how you get on
