Hi, d reg 3 door cos acc cable,just got in pedal feels real gritty ,getting stiffer,want to buy a cable tommorow,does anyone know what models the same cable was fitted to????,just seen one on ebay,60 quid plus 8 quid post !!!,at least if i go knowing what other models to check for should make it easier to get sorted...cheers dave...

 

Check with ford to see if same part number listed for others, very common end fittings, possibly efi pinto engine sierra ?

just bought one for my 4wd from ford still available and cost me Ł40 not sure if they are the same as the 3dr but it is possable

 

IT WILL NOT BE THE CABLE !!! check the linkage were the arc is on throttle body that will be dry and needs some grease

Interesting you should say that Costina, my tb had a hole drilled slightly on the wonk that goes through the centre of the linkag/arm and acts as a pivot, this caused severe binding on mine, just machined the bolt stem down a bit.

I had the same on mine where the linkage was dry i even changed the pedal like a plank and then it clicked lol
